Mat Pilates is a type of exercise designed to stretch and strengthen the muscles of the core which span from your hips to your shoulders. Joseph Pilates developed this exercise methodology in the early 1900s to help fellow internees in a German national camp in England and, later, World War I veterans injured in the war. It is a workout that borrows from disciplines such as dance, yoga and classic calisthenics. Mat Pilates exercises are performed equipment-free, with the moves adapted to use your body as resistance and a floor mat for cushioning and support. Using just your mat, our upbeat Pilates classes will strengthen your abdominals, lower back, hips and thighs. Emphasis on the core will significantly improve posture alignment which in turn relieves muscles and joints from unwanted tension and injury. Increasing flexibility, muscular strength and endurance are benefits you can use in all areas of your life.

Inferno Hot Pilates is a training system, which combines Pilates principles with high intensity interval training.
