Mat Pilates is a type of exercise designed to stretch and strengthen the muscles of the core which span from your hips to your shoulders. Joseph Pilates developed this exercise methodology in the early 1900s to help fellow internees in a German national camp in England and, later, World War I veterans injured in the war. It is a workout that borrows from disciplines such as dance, yoga and classic calisthenics. Mat Pilates exercises are performed equipment-free, with the moves adapted to use your body as resistance and a floor mat for cushioning and support. Using just your mat, our upbeat Pilates classes will strengthen your abdominals, lower back, hips and thighs. Emphasis on the core will significantly improve posture alignment which in turn relieves muscles and joints from unwanted tension and injury. Increasing flexibility, muscular strength and endurance are benefits you can use in all areas of your life.

Inferno Hot Pilates

When you add Pilates with cardio, and turn up the heat, Inferno Hot Pilates is born. Per­formed in a room heated to 95 degrees Fahren­heit and 40% humidity, join us on your yoga mat for a challenging low impact workout! Inferno Hot Pilates is a train­ing sys­tem, which com­bines Pilates prin­ci­ples with high inten­sity inter­val train­ing. This class is designed for all levels, creates long lean mus­cles, burns fat, and increases fit­ness lev­els through core training.

Inferno Hot Pilates II

Required: Hot Yoga Mat & Yoga towel and water  //  Recommendations: We recommend eating a protein & energy snack within the hour before class (avoid heavy meal). Also, 6-8 oz. of electrolyte-infused drink before and during class

This class takes your Inferno Hot Pilates experience to the next level with longer working and shorter rest periods with the option to add weights. IHP II includes less talking and more squatting all designed to give you a more intense workout! 

Mat Pilates

Mat Pilates is a faithful to a methodology created by Joseph Pilates.  The focus is on breath and movement, following his beliefs that breath is life and movement heals.  Providing a strong foundation for everything else you do in life, mat Pilates focuses on core strength, spine flexibility, and the development of stamina and muscle strengthening.  It is truly a total body conditioning practice.

PIYO

Pilates meets yoga!  This low-impact workout combines the strength-building, toning, and sculpting benefits of Pilates using body-weight resistance with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga.  And, we turn up the speed to deliver fat-burning cardio results.  Appropriate for all skill levels.

Pilates Fusion with Weights

A fusion of Vinyasa yoga, Pilates, and meditation you will improve your flexibility and balance, gain muscle definition, and revitalize your mind. We use elements of yoga and Pilates to develop the abdominals, glutes, and back muscles so that you can gain complete core strength and stabilization, hip-mobility, and a healthy spine. Relieve unwanted tension throughout the body as we use spinal rotational movements to release strain in spine, and end class with meditation so that you can achieve your healthiest body and mind.

Barre

The fusion of traditional Ballet and Pilates movements with a focus on elongating muscles, this class strengthens major muscle groups, tones the entire body, and improves balance and flexibility.

Power Barre

Combining the precision focused exercises found in barre with weights, with a cardio twist, we push your comfort zone in this adrenaline pumping, muscle building class.

Barre-Circuit

Required:  Sneakers & Yoga Mat  //  Recommended:  Water Bottle
Take barre to the next level with this interval training bootcamp style class!  Over the 60-minute class, you’ll move through a series of strength, balance and coordination circuits set up throughout the room.  You’ll move through each station once or twice, each time up to a minute.  After each exercise will follow an active recovery lasting between 10 and 30 seconds.  Class finishes with a speed round and an abs series, leaving you feeling accomplished and of course…sweaty!

Barre-Lates

Required:  Sneakers & Yoga Mat  //  Recommended:  Water Bottle
This class is the perfect compliment to your Barre routine! We’ve integrated Pilates principals and stretching with the floor elements of Barre to help you continue to fine-tune your stabilizing muscles while also working the major muscle groups. This 60-minute class uses exercises that target the glutes, hips, thighs, and core, as well as movements that improve balance and flexibility.   Modifications are offered throughout class to allow for all fitness and experience levels to benefit from this workout.  We include the props you’ll need for class including weighted ball, sliders, and Pilates Ball.
